How amazing was this year's Super Bowl halftime show?! The whole experience was such a blast, from going to the only Seahawks bar in SF called Danny Coyles for a pre-game moment, to then watching the game at our place with some friends. The vibes at Danny Coyles were on point! Everyone was in such a good mood and something about being in a place where everyone is there to celebrate one team was a bit surreal and magical. I felt a strong sense of camaraderie and community.
I stocked up on plantain chips and all the ingredients for piña colada spritzes to pay homage to Bad Bunny and my homeland, Puerto Rico. This Super Bowl felt extra special because it was right here in the Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium, Bad Bunny was headlining the halftime show, and the Seahawks were playing. I’m not the biggest sports fan, but I was absolutely rooting for Seattle. I met my husband at the University of Washington, and as a die-hard Seahawks fan, his loyalty is serious so naturally, I’m all in too.
While I was dancing to the halftime show, I was also paying attention to what Bad Bunny, the dancers, and the celebs at the casita were wearing.
I wear a lot of Zara and so I thought it was cool that Bad Bunny chose the Spanish retailer for his fit. He could've chosen any other label/brand. But what I loved most about the fashion was learning about the Dominican designer Lady Gaga wore, Luar, and learning about the Puerto Rican designer the dancers wore, Yomas. I immediately needed to get a piece of them for my travels this year!
