A day spent exploring San Francisco

I am a huge advocate for exploring the city that you live in! Thanks to the flexibility of my jobs, I can be a tourist in my own city during the week and not have to deal with the real tourists ;) On my days off I like to explore brunch spots and coffee shops. I also try to venture out and explore Sonoma in wine country. Exploring wine country takes more planning and time though so I leave it for when people come visit us from out of town or on the weekends.

Last week I had the most amazing day walking from our place in the Marina to Dynamo Donut & Coffee and then to the Lyon Street Steps. I went at around 1pm on a Thursday and I only saw 5 people at the most on the steps. It was a great day full of sunshine, beautiful views and 124 steps. On my way home I stopped by The Bud Stop and picked up a bouquet of beautiful flowers. If you haven't been to the Lyon Street Steps, you should totally go after picking up a four barrel cup of coffee and a delicious donut from Dynamo Donut & Coffee ;)
