First Time in Oahu, Hawaii!

We escaped to Oahu, Hawaii for the first time this thanksgiving holiday and it was so lovely! It was just what we needed; sun, warm weather, beach, relaxation, and beautiful sights. We stayed at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki.  I fell in love with this hotel because of its central location and architecture.  The hotel also had a delicious coffee shop which we visited every morning before we headed to the beach.

If you are thinking of staying at the Moana Surfrider, make sure you also visit another part of the island.  The streets of Waikiki are filled with tons of high-end shops and people on a shopping spree so if you want to relax and explore the island's geography, I highly recommend renting a car and either driving north or east.  We decided to drive east and spend a day at Waimanalo Beach.  The drive to the beach is so beautiful and it feels as if you are entering a scene from Jurassic Park!

We dined at Alan Wong and Fete Hawaii.  Alan Wong is perfect for a more romantic and intimate multi-course dinner.  Fete Hawaii is perfect for a casual and chic dinner in a fun environment.  Our days in Oahu were made up of waking up, getting ready for the beach, getting coffee and pastries at Honolulu Coffee, going to either Waimanalo beach or Waikiki beach, lunch and drinks at Hula Grill Waikiki, and then dinner and after drinks at the hotel, all in that order :)
