All about fashion and technology

Yesterday I went to my first networking event in San Francisco hosted by SF FASHTECH. The fashion world is so much different here than it is in New York. In New York, when I think fashion...fashion shows, celebrities, Lincoln center, 5th avenue, and high end designers come to mind. In San Francisco, when I think fashion...e-commerce companies, technology, at home shopping experience, and local designers come to mind. I like that it is different. It feels like a fresh new start and it makes me curious.

The event show cased some interesting and fabulous fashion tech companies. All of them had an attention grabbing niche. I had the opportunity to speak with the amazing and friendly co founders and employees of some of the companies. Their passion and interest for their companies was contagious. Thank you Millie Tadewaldt from CakeStyle, Cameron Jacoby from CakeStyle, Rebecca O'Dell from StylSavvy, and Shinyoung Park from perfectsunday. I appreciate the time.

Check out some of my pics from the event and a little bit about each company:

CakeStyle: Personal stylist service delivered to your door.  After you connect with your stylist and fill out your fit and wardrobe interview, you will receive a box with the handpicked items from brand labels such as Theory, Nanette Lepore, DVF, and Elie Tahari to just name a few...you then keep what you like! How easy is that? No need to spend money on transportation, get stuck in traffic, or skip on errands because you have to go shopping...CakeStyle will handle the shopping duties for you.

perfectsunday: Website showcasing South Korean products, designers, and fashion.  Shinyoung, thank you for my cool hot pink bunny earrings ;)

Boutiika: e-commerce website showcasing pieces from the local stores near you.

Threadflip: e-commerce website where you can buy or sell from vintage to Vuitton pieces.  Threadflip is also launching a special white glove concierge service, which allows women to receive a box to send in their unused and pre-loved items and Threadflip takes care of the rest!

StylSavvy: iPad app that allows you to view your favorite items from your closet or new items from your favorite brands all at once to view your complete outfit.  You can change the tops, bottoms, and shoe selections until you find the perfect outfit!

Electronic outfits to brighten up the event!

Thanks for stopping by!
XoXo,
Keily
